About NoPlanNomad

The NoPlanNomad author sitting beside a window

I'm a 29-year-old Canadian remote worker trying to determine where to live, what to work toward, and how adults apparently decide what they want.

I've spent the last several years working remotely, travelling, dating, going to the gym, trying hobbies, abandoning some of them, and occasionally convincing myself that studying for another exam counts as a personality.

NoPlanNomad is where I document those experiments.

Sometimes that means trying a city. Sometimes it means learning a language, taking an acting class, building a strange software tool, changing my routine, or reconsidering what I want from work and relationships.

  1. Started working remotely and discovered that Wi-Fi quality can become a personality trait.
  2. Began testing cities more seriously, still using a highly subjective sample size of one.
  3. Tried acting, filmmaking, and several methods of carrying too much equipment.
  4. Started NoPlanNomad to keep the experiments, photographs, and useful mistakes in one place.
